Sunday Morning Kids

It’s about kids. Having a blast, being creative, interacting, and learning how to love God, each other, the world and the least. More than anything, it’s our heart to create an environment where kids feel safe to have fun, to grow in their relationship with Jesus, and to become everything God has created them to be. While in the classroom, children will experience God’s love through worship, relationships, activities, and creative Bible stories.

Merry Christmas Catalyst Families!  Our prayer for you is that this Christmas season would be filled with laughter and joy.  We pray that you would be filled with the hope of Jesus.  We pray that you would experience the overflowing love of Jesus, and that 2018 would be full of His presence.

This month in Catalyst Kids we will be learning about the Christmas story found in Luke 1:26-2:20.  We will be talking to the kids about how Jesus is the best present that we will ever receive and the hope His birth brings us.  Our memory verse this month is “But the angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid for look, I proclaim to you good news of a great joy that will be for all the people.  Today in the city of David a Savior was born to you, who is the Messiah, the Lord.” Luke 2:10-12.  -Melissa

Important Dates:

Team Celebrate:

I want to celebrate Melissa Stiliha. She works with our third graders at the 8:30 and has been committed to this team for a couple years now. The third graders love her and know they can trust her with the things in their lives. She is dependable and always willing to help with anything. Her love for our kiddos is so evident. I am truly thankful to have her on the 1st-5th team!  — Erika Herrmann

I would like to celebrate Amy Neman. Every week she shows up prepared to teach, worship, and pour into our kids. She takes time to pray over the kids and speak truth over them. She makes valuable and authentic connections with both the kiddos and their parents. She’s a valuable part of our team and I am so thankful for her! — Fontella Cruz

If you’d like to be a part of the Catalyst Kids team, we have a lot of options for how you can do this:

*Check-In – We have a check in team in the Kids Wing and Catalyst Center. We ask that you show up 15 minutes before service starts and stay through the first 15-20 minutes of service.
*Craft Team – We have a need for people to help prep craft during the week for Sunday morning.
*Cleaning the Kids Wing – we currently have 2 volunteers who come in once a month and deep clean the toys and all four classrooms.
*Set up Kids Church – every Sunday we have to set up and tear down for Kids Church in the Catalyst Center. Chairs and table are set out, along with the check-in desk.
*Laundry – twice a month we have a need for someone to wash one load of laundry for our sweet babies in the Infant Room.
*Greeting/Assisting with check out in the Catalyst Center – the transition time between services can be a little wild, we would love people to help us with directing and welcoming parents and kids as they are checking-in and checking-out. Safety is our number one priority in Catalyst Kids and the more people we have to assist us the better.

Email Melissa to get involved.

All Catalyst volunteers are required to be background checked and live a life consistent with our values at Catalyst and The Stirring Church. We would love to hear from you if you are interested in joining our team.  To join our team, fill out our FORM HERE.
