EMERGE INFORMATION

Emerge is designed to be an intensive discipleship experience.  We have structured it in such a way as to avoid being very programmatic.  Instead of placing individuals in a classroom we believe that you, your life, is the classroom, and it’s our goal to help you intentionally focus and embrace all that God is doing in your life.  

MENTORING

We connect our Emerge students with a mentor or mentoring group that will walk with them weekly for nine months.  The focus of that mentorship is fluid. Some of our students are learning and growing in areas of influence and leadership and their mentor times are focused on that.  Some of our students are encountering the Lord in their story, both past and present, in some very healing ways, and their times with their mentors are focused on that.  The mentors do not have specific agendas. They are there to walk with you, help guide you through the areas that the Lord is leading you into, provide prayer, counsel and feedback for you.  

GATHERINGS

We meet monthly as a whole group.  Those monthly meetings are various in nature.  Our monthly gathering times provide opportunity for teaching, reflection, and feedback on specific topics. Emerge student will participate in three retreats together.

TRIBES

Each Emerge participant will also be a part of a small group called a TRIBE.  Each Tribe will meet approximately three times per month throughout the Emerge year.  Each Tribe will have specific assignments they are working together to accomplish and facilitate deeper relational connection between the Emerge students.

SUNDAYS

We ask that all of our students commit to participating with one of The Stirring’s gatherings on Sunday and be given to serve in an area of the Stirring during their participation with Emerge.  We will partner with you to help you find a place that is a good fit for you. The place that you serve in may also a place where you are get the opportunity to grow in specific leadership skills and ministry opportunities.  Many of our students have led small groups for our Sons & Daughters movement, taught our kids, youth, and young adults, led house churches, or served with our worship community.

RESOURCES

We strongly encourage study and reading, but tailor that expectation to you as an individual.  We will assign books for reading that are in line with what you are hoping to learn about or grow in, and encourage what God is already doing in your life.

We consider Emerge to be a  part time experience. We launch our year together  in September and conclude in May. It is very possible for you to work and participate with Emerge.  Our Emerge students represent a wide range of ages and stages of life as well as places in their journey of faith.  We currently have thirty seven students participate with Emerge.

COST

The cost to participate with Emerge during the 2024-2025 is $1585.00 and includes all materials, books and retreats.
