At SD Kids, we create a fun, engaging, and safe environment where children—from infants to 5th grade—can grow in their love for God, others, and the world around them. We believe kids learn best through meaningful relationships, creativity, and play, so every gathering is filled with worship, interactive Bible stories, and hands-on activities designed just for them.

What to Expect

In our classrooms, children encounter God’s love through:

Worship & Prayer – Engaging their hearts in God’s presence.

Relationships – Building friendships with SD Kids Staff, Volunteers, and Peers.

Hands-On Learning – Sensory-focused games and activities.               

Creative Bible Teaching – Exploring God’s Word in fun, age-appropriate ways.

We utilize Orange Kids, a dynamic and engaging curriculum that helps kids understand God’s big story and how they can be a part of it. Each lesson is designed to connect the church and home, equipping families to grow together in faith.

SUNDAYS

Check-In Policy

You will find our check-in area at the entrance of the SD Kids hallway for Littles (ages 0-TK) and the entrance of the Catalyst Center for (K-5th grade) and the Victory Room. If you are a first-time guest at the Stirring, there is a team of people that are present on Sunday to assist with the check-in process. Each child receives a name tag with their classroom, any allergies and family ID number on it. Parents receive a tag with the family ID number on it as well. If needed during the service, the family ID number will appear in the bottom left corner of the screen in the main space. We may also send you a text. At this time, a parent needs to return to their child’s classroom. For safety purposes, parents must present their portion of the tag with the family ID number on it when picking up their child. Children will NOT be released to any adult without a matching family ID number.

Sick Policy

If your child is sick or not feeling well, we ask that you refrain from bringing him/her to the SD Kids church. Out of consideration to our kids, families and volunteers, our guidelines require that children who are ill will not be allowed into nursery or classrooms. This includes any children experiencing one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Fever over 99.8

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea

  • Skin rashes or eruptions

  • Coughing associated with a respiratory infection

  • Runny nose which has a yellow or green discharge

  • Pinkeye, which is often accompanied by a yellow/green discharge or thick drainage from the eye

  • Parasites such as nits, lice, mites, or ringworm

  • Drainage, in any form, from the ear

VICTORY ROOM: A PLACE FOR EVERY CHILD

At SD Kids, we believe every child deserves a space where they feel safe, valued, and fully supported in their faith journey. Our Victory Roomis a specially designed, sensory-friendly environment tailored for children who thrive with a more personalized, one-on-one approach to kids' church.

Led by a team of compassionate and experienced leaders, the Victory Room provides intentional care, engaging activities, and a nurturing space where children with special needs can encounter God’s love in a way that meets them right where they are.

This space is available during our 9 AM service only.

MIDWEEK

Midweek for 4th & 5th Graders

Midweek is a special gathering just for 4th & 5th graders, designed to help them grow in their faith, build friendships, and have a blast along the way!

Each Wednesday night, kids come together for high-energy activities, engaging worship, and meaningful time in God’s Word—all in a space where they feel safe, seen, and encouraged in their journey with Jesus.

Midweek runs in 5-6 week sessions, followed by a 2-3 week break. The latest schedule and topics are always posted below!

Our Commitment to Safety & Excellence

The safety and well-being of every child in our ministry is our highest priority. To ensure a secure and nurturing environment, we have a thorough onboarding process for all volunteers, which includes:

  • Filling out the SD Kids Leadership Form - Click the Link Below

  • Shadowing on a Sunday with one of our SD Kids Staff to learn about our vision, values, and best practices.

  • Completing a Background Check – We screen every volunteer as part of our commitment to child safety.

  • Following Our “Never Alone” Policy – Adults are never alone with children, and all team members serve in pairs or groups.

  • Wearing an SD Name Tag – This signifies that each volunteer has been screened and approved to serve.

Additionally, new volunteers are supported and supervised to ensure they feel confident and equipped in their role.

We go above and beyond to create a safe and welcoming space for every child, and we’d love for you to be part of this mission!

SD Kids Prayer
Join our SD Kids team on Thursdays as we intercede for our sons and daughters together! The whole family is invited to pray with us. Also, if you can’t make it in person, no problem; set an alarm and pray with us from wherever you are. “Four things let us ever keep in mind: God hears prayer, God heeds prayer, God answers prayer, and God delivers by prayer.”

Child Dedications
We love our children and desire for them to grow up supported in church family! Child dedications are a public sign that parents are seeking to raise their children in the ways of Jesus, set them apart, and present them to God.
